Kita terlalu sering mengatakan kata tidak bisa, sulit, susah, tidak mungkin padahal kita belum mencoba. Kita telah terjebak dalam ketakutan-ketakutan kita sendiri yang sering sekali tidak pernah terbukti kebenarannya. Kita sibuk mencari alasan dan pembenaran akan kemalasan kita, ketidak mampuan dan ketidak berdayaan dalam menghadapi masalah dalam hidup ini. Simulasi berupa Fire Walking ini mengajarkan untuk mengatasi rasa takut yang ada di dalam diri sendiri.

Hampir pasti 1 % orang yg gagal melakukan simulasi itu atau mundur tidak karena berani mencoba, tidak layak ditempatkan sebagai leader atau ujung tombak penjualan Anda. Lebih tepat mereka support di back office yg beresiko rendah terhadap bisnis.

Apa itu Firewalking?

Firewalking adalah sebuah metode terapi untuk menghancurkan hambatan-hambatan potensi diri (Unleashed Your Potential) dengan cara berjalan di atas api yang menyala. Lumayan panjang juga track yang dilalui, sepanjang 3 m. Peserta diminta berjalan (bukan berlari, apalagi melompat) di atas api yang menyala setelah diberi aba-aba oleh fasilitator atau trainer pemandu game firewalking ini.

Apakah panas? Tentu saja api panas. Apa apinya bisa membakar? Tentu. Yang dingin itu namanya es. Yang basah itu namanya air.

Setelah sesi indoor dengan materi motivasi, teamwork & service excellent selama kurang lebih 1,5 jam, maka peserta diajak untuk memasuki acara inti dari training ini, yaitu mendobrak tembok mental dengan FIREWALKING..!!

Api yang menyala dan menghangatkan suasana sekitar track Fire Walking ini dapat membuat peserta merasa takut untuk mencoba. Biasanya peserta yang laki-laki dipersilahkan mencoba terlebih dahulu. Hasilnya? Tidak apa-apa! Memang apinya panas, tapi tidak sampai membakar, bahkan cederapun tidak, jika kita mengikuti petunjuk dari fasilitator simulasi fire walking ini.

Fasilitator pun ikut mendemonstrasikan bahwa simulasi ini tidak berbahaya selama dalam koridor safety brief. Hanya keyakinan, keberanian dan kemantapan hati yang diperlukan untuk melakukan permainan ini. Selanjutnya tinggal mengikuti petunjuk dari fasilitator/trainer, aman, tidak berbahaya.

Api memang panas. Namun ketakutan, rasa minder, tidak PD, tidak yakin, itu justru lebih membakar hangus masa depan yg kita impikan jika tidak segera kita buang dan hancurkan. Simulasi Fire Walking adalah salah satu dari cara untuk menghancurkan hal-hal tersebut. Jika anda belum pernah mencoba simulasi ini, maka cobalah! Namun jangan lakukan ini sendiri tanpa bimbingan dari tim yang berpengalaman.

Team cohesion, synergy and a shared vision are a requirement for any institution to succeed. As a result the need to instill such is important. Team building activities have been identified as one sure way of enhancing effectiveness of a group. It can be a board, senior management or staff in an organization since institutions require teams whenever producing the desired outcome. Team depends on integrity and synergy of diverse skills, interests and efforts.

An effective team process releases, and then multiplies, the effectiveness of each member. TEAM BUILDING METHODOLOGY AND APPROACH

The approach to be adopted will be participant centered learning. Based on participatory techniques, the facilitators shall integrate lectures, discussions and experiential learning techniques. All exercises, both mental and physical, shall be followed by a debriefing of lessons learnt reflecting on the objectives of the team building exercise. Experiential approach ensures transfer-ability of lessons into practice and in the work place. The experiential learning will be demystified through conduct of both indoor and outdoor activities. Participants will also develop a comprehensive action plan after the team building for the purpose of transitioning new insights into the board relationships and organizational management and leadership.
